The title of this piece is messenger. I am currently fascinated by the beauty and symbolism of the white dove. The dove represents love & peace and are considered messengers. My work is where I put my thoughts and my messages. I hope you enjoy the beautiful lines.

So, this is the beautiful style that I am moving forward with. You might remember that I posted a partially finished embroidery (two posts ago) of this figure. Bittersweet (the lemon lady embroidery) was also drawn in this style.

I am super happy with it and I love the way that adobe illustrator allows me to create such a graphic representation of the design.

Anyway, for those of you who asked about prints, they will be coming. My pro large format printer is on the way (my old one broke).

Here is a close up, will post the full image later along with details about the concep behind her.

It seems like every year at this time I look back

It seems like every year at this time I look back and think, what now? For those of you who have followed me for years or even just in the past few years, you are well aware that I am a squirrel at heart. Never settled, always searching, always trying to figure out what works.

With that said, I have decided to return once again to digital art – which allows me to create as much art as I want without investment and without continuing to fill my basement with a ton of large art that no one buys. It is also a little quicker than traditional art, which will allow me a little more time for my graphic design business, which allows me to make money and not have to work a traditional office job.

I hope that you are all well and I should be back to posting regularly very soon - just tidying up!

So, I am working, but my graphic design business is coming into the busy season so I have less free time. But you gotta work on what pays the bills first!

I am fully in love with this piece and am loving every minute that I get to work on her. This one is in an 18inch x 24inch frame.

I did finish the linework on the 24x36 that I shared, but I still need to add color. That one is moving slowly.

Tips to shooting when you image is under glass 1. take out the glass (hee hee) BUT if you didn't THEN shoot at an angle. Not the perfect shot, but it works.

Yes, she is being naughty, BUT she is meant to be giving the finger to her inner critic, which in my case is the meanest person in the world.
